Jade attracts one’s eyes with its bright emerald-green, pink, lavender, orange, and brown colours. To the Chinese, jade represents one’s loyalty, beauty, grace, and purity.
Jade became the favor of ladies and gentlemen. Its perfect compact-structure and extreme hardness represent the sureness of intelligence and justice; the interior variations, always showing themselves through the transparency, call to mind sincerity; its iridescent brightness represents heaven; its admirable composition, born of mountain and of water, represents the earth. Used alone it represents priceless chastity.
Verse says: "When I think of a wise man, his merits appear to be like jade."
The Chinese belief - that breathing through jade would bestow longevity - follows that it also promotes the owner’s health, luck, and happiness. We cherish jade, not only for its beauty, but also for its deep roots entwined in culture, spirituality, and humanity.
